It was a beautiful morning at the “Caffeine and Octane” car meet outside of Atlanta, Georgia in a town called Alpharetta. Towards the end of the event, tires screeched as one of the attendees lost control of his precious Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Convertible when leaving the event.
The Twin Turbo Gallardo beast was built by Underground Racing out of North Carolina. The owner would display the dyno sheet of the car, in which it showed that this bull produced over 1,300 wheel horsepower. However, the gobs of torque may have been too much when the owner floored it in a straight after making a left turn. Skid marks show a spinout occurred, then the tail of the car came to rest within a bush, and the rear wheel knocked out of place when going over a curb.
The Lamborghini was towed away on a flat bed, not sure what the owner has planned next, or if he’ll keep the Gallardo. We were not there when it happened, but apparently there are some who took video footage of the crash. Just another day of coffee and horsepower in Georgia!
