Titan Motorsports Grand Opening Coverage

We decided to stop by and see what the boys at Titan Motorsports have been up to, and they have been busy. Titan started off as a small shop that really only specialized in Supras and has grown into a huge operation with a full race team and enough stock to modify half the cars in Orlando.

On this sunny Saturday I packed up the gear in Project VIP and set out to Titan’s new headquarters in the shadow of the Orlando Airport. The only other Jade ride to make it out was Vinny and his widebody STI. It was nice that Russ and Chad were in town to celebrate their mothers birthday. It was fun chilling with the boys again, felt like old times.

Update: Video 1 Added (sorry about the horrible cheesy music, I threw it together in garage band quickly)

Update: Video 2 Added (same cheesy music)

Titan’s headquarters is very impressive, as nice or nicer than any of the shops that I have visited in Cali. The showroom is filled with the trophies they have collected with their highly successful race teams. Once you make your way past the supra sitting in the showroom you enter the shop section of the building. It is an impressive setup with multiple lifts and all the equipment any gearhead could need.

Out back they have a AWD dynojet so they can tune your ride after they install the part of your dreams. They need an AWD dyno since they do a lot of Porsche Twin Turbos, along with Subaru’s and GTR’s.

For the grand opening they had some manufacturers out displaying products, a small car show and even some free burritos.

I unfortunately had to leave before the Dyno contest started but I took a ton of snaps and even some video which I hope to get edited and up this week.

They standouts of the day for me were the all AE86 sporting a 2JZ and the VIP rides from Team Solo. The AE86 was an amazing car, with carbon fiber doors, hood, bumpers and hatch.

As if the outside was not impressive enough they shoehorned in a 2JZ. Looking at the car this was not an easy task. There is no radiator support any more, just some brackets and the radiator it self. Thankfully the car has a roll cage and tons of other bracing to keep it together. I didn’t have my SLR with me when the hood was open but I think I got some video of it so check back when I put up the video.

Team Solo brought out some sick VIP rides including a Turbo IS and some sick GS’s. Everything was super clean and they even had the all important FUSA, they must have read my Guide on How to Be VIP.

All in all it was a great time and it is fantastic to see a Florida company doing it this big. We will be interviewing Nero and taking an in depth look at Titan’s operation in the future so look back for more on these Titan’s of the import scene.
