Brian's Infiniti G37S at Nisei Showoff 2009
Jade Motorsports headed out to the West Coast to the city of Angels, Los Angeles, California. The very last Import Showoff Nisei event took place on August 15, 2009 in Little Tokyo. Several JDM influenced Hondas and Nissans filled a parking lot, but yet the surrounding chain link fences did not deter spectators from attending. It almost felt like being in Japan because of the coinciding Nisei Festival week which showcased the Japanese culture, foods, and arts. None-the-less, it was definitely the cars which shined during this hot day in LA.
Many of the West Coast’s finest came out to play, including teams High End and Hybrid. There were many K-swapped Hondas, an array of old school Datsuns, and a mix of the latest cars out on the market. One car being Jade Motorsports’ own Infiniti G37S, the new project by Brian. His G37S was decorated with Mackin Industries catalog, including exclusive Volk Racing TE37 Mag Blue Rims, Project Mu front and rear big brakes, and Mackin’s latest MXP exhaust system. Super Street and Project Car Magazine also displayed their two Honda EF cars for the audience to judge on which was more show worthy.
As with all good things in life, Showoff had to come to an end. This was the last Import Showoff event during Nisei week. Let’s hope it makes an encore appearance next year!
