Scion Ft-86?

It looks like the sagging scion sales have prompted Toyota to rethink what it is going to do with its hot sport hatch, the FT-86. Word is that the car will be re-badged as a Scion. Also the price has increased to $25,000 making it a little less attractive than the $20,000 price originally proposed.

My real hope is that they don’t mess with the styling. It is one of the best looking new concepts that I have seen in a very long time. It may also help with the sales problems that scion seems to be having. Part of which is that most people, like my self, still prefer the original XB to anything that scion has since released. It seems as the models have evolved the cars lost that Japanese quirkyness that the XB had. The new XB became a sort of bubbly PT cruiserish looking thing and the core audience did not embrace it.
