Mecum Auto Auction Coverage – The Newstyle

Not everything at the auction was produced before I was born. There were a few newer cars out there to check out also. Some of the highlights include a pair of Ford GT’s, a Bently and even an Ariel Atom.

I want one of these, actually I wanted a lot of the cars at the auction, but I REALLY want one of these. This is the little devil that basically melted Jeremy Clarkson’s face off in a test drive. It features a 2 liter Ecotec engine with Eaton supercharger that makes 245 BHP. Weighting in at only 1,350 lbs that will get you from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds and 0 to 100 back to 0 in 10.8 seconds. That’s faster than an Enzo. You need to register under the “kit car” rules but it probably can be done in FL and oh the fun it would be.

There was also this new Camaro sporting a set of 24′s in the rear with some black paint they called a tire. I am not a fan of the rims but damn that side profile is nice. I really do like the new Camaros.
