Driving down the road the other day I noticed a red coupe fly by and said, thats a nice looking car. As I got close enough to notice the badge and I was shocked to see Kia. It was the 2010 Kia Forte Koupe and I have to say its the nicest looking affordable coupe I have seen in a while. They just need to take it a step further and give it some balls to go with the look.
Kia needs to take a page out of Hyundai’s book and do what they did with the Genesis coupe and put some performance in there to start changing that bargain basement image they have. The Forte has fantastic lines and the front grill is almost evoish.
The car starts at around 16k and in my opinion looks a little better than the Genesis coupe. The problem I have is the standard engine is a 156hp 1.5 naturally aspirated 4 and the big boy engine is only a 2.4L 173HP motor. Where the Genesis got it right and Kia got it wrong in my opinion is the base Genesis comes with a turbo 2.0L with 210 HP. Now the Genesis is about 5-6k more but the engine is worth it to a sport coupe buyer. If Kia ever decides to put a nice turbo engine in there and do some advertising I think they have a winner on their hands.
I don’t know about you but I think they should have went with the hamster in a hoodie instead of this ad.

WBJYeah, I guess it was the center black section that reminded me of the evo nose.
