This is where you can come for all sorts of features that are car and non-car related. Look for movie reviews, restaurant reviews and more! We may be a little crazy but we sure know good food and entertainment!

In Part 1 of the How to Get Your Car Sponsored series I gave you some background on me and why I think I am a credible source on this topic and went over the basics of sponsorship. In Part 2 I will be detailing what I think is important when selecting a car to build to try and attract sponsors.

It’s the question everyone always asks when they find out that you’re sponsored, “How can I get free stuff too?” It’s a question I get asked a lot but it unfortunately does not have a simple answer. By the end of this series of articles you will have a better understanding of how sponsorship programs work, what sponsors look for and how to go about approaching them. In addition to sponsorship information I will also give you tips on, winning trophies, getting magazine shoots and much more.

I woke up this morning with my inner 9 year old yelling at me to get out of bed and get the hell to work, and lets just say it wasn’t because I was so excited about marketing. I felt like the little boy at Christmas who just knew Santa was going to bring him exactly what he wanted. What was I hoping to get? Was it a Red Ryder BB gun, nope it was my Air Runner Suspension for Project VIP.

Let’s face it, most scooters are not the “coolest” rides out there. You say the word scooter to most people and they think of some effeminate guy with an ascot on a Vespa. Although there is one scooter that has really caught on with the import crowd, the Honda Ruckus.

We are a matter of days away from receiving a 4 very special packages from our friends at Air Runner Suspensions. They left Cali on Wendsday 3/10 and are expected to arrive at my office on Tuesday 3/16.

I randomly check the apple APP store to see if anything Orlando or Car related new is out. Yesterday I ran accross this little app from the Orlando Infiniti dealer. Since I have and Infiniti I just had to download this to see what it was all about.

It sat under boxes collecting dust for over 2 years, missing a front bumper and in rough shape. Vinny acquired it fro Sean and is in the process of resurrecting it. Vinny brought it out to the Titan Motorsports grand opening and I shot this quick video of it in its current form. Check the video after the jump.

This one comes from the Jade mail bag. We get lots of mail at Jade asking all kinds of things but I thought this one was worth sharing. It comes down to an unwanted accessory and the void left behind when it is removed. The original email is after the jump along with my suggestions.

It has been pretty busy lately and as I was working on the site I got to wondering “How long has it been since we went to this design?” Almost 1 year ago exactly we embarked on changing the Jade site from a stic page about just our cars to a full on automotive portal.

Check out this new Iphone Game called Drift Sumi-e. It combines drifting and and the art of Sumi-e or Japanese brush painting. The game is pretty straight forward. There are tracks and on it they show you the proper clipping points for drifting. You try to drag your finger across the track tracing a proper drifting line. You are judged on speed and line. After that you get a score.

Check out what arrived at the office today, after some issues with a shipping company that sounds like “cups”. The first shipment of swag had one bottle of showtime damaged so of course they sent the whole thing back.

VIP, what is it? Is it a type of car, a style or is it a way of life? I am here to put all those questions to rest and show you how you can be VIP 4 Sho!

I was off at lunch today running errands and as I pulled out of the bank to get in line for the light I see “this” in my side mirror barreling towards me at breakneck speed. In addition to the “unusual” bumper ornament I spotted a handicap sticker hanging from the rear view. The closeup after the jump shows more detail.

I just thought I would share our good fortune and show the pictures and some video from the Feb 5th Magic Game against the Washington Wizards. Thanks to some great luck we scored seats 4 rows behind the opposing bench. These were the best seats that I have ever had to any type of sporting event. Let me start by saying my wife and I are huge magic fans, last year we were lucky enough to get to go to game 3 against Boston in the playoffs.

It’s like Christmas keeps on coming as the UPS guy just stopped by the office bringing JDM joy. Looking forward to “installing” these two items once I get my car back from its 60k mile service. Hopefully I won’t make any mistakes this time.

While checking out Speedhunters day 3 coverage of the HKS Premium Day I found some more pictures of the Arena LS sporting a HKS supercharge hidden under a plastic cover. I also spotted another possible super sedan in the mix, hit the jump to see what it is.

What does 8 pages (in Japanese) plus 10ft of plastic and 20 minutes equal? New JDM Y34 window visors that’s what it equals. As I said before I was kinda surprised that these came with so much instructions when it boils down to make sure the clips go over the trim and stick on with the applied tape.
After all that making fun of how east this was, I go and make a mistake.

As you can see when I comment on posts here on Jadecrew you see a nice little avitar of my Y34. Getting one of your own is really a simple process and the nice thing is it will work on multiple sites. Hit the jump for the instructions.

It seems as there is a possible new trend, or an old one that we are just slow to pick up on, is to take VIP platforms and modify them in a racing style. I first got a hint of this when I found the Supermade Instant Gentleman body kit for the Y34. The car supposedly had an SR20 engine swap and was sporting a nice set of work wheels which I joked and said it would have looked better with my rims.

Hot on the heels of the possible new name for the next fast and Furious movie comes this bit of news. Just because you can flee from the cops and bullets seem to bounce off cars in the movies does not mean that it works that way in real life. One Evo driver found out the hard way that cars don’t stop bullets and fast cars can’t outrun all cops.
