Walter Allan Jr. decided he wanted to pick up a pair of Bentleys from a Houston exotic car dealer. He figured a check for $500,000 and a notary public should do the trick.
As if a 27 year old who wanted to pay cash for a pair of Bentleys wasn’t odd enough this guy tried to pay with a check from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. That doesn’t sound too odd, unless you know that the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta only deals with banks, not personal accounts.
Walter Allan Jr. even left his real ID when trying to buy the cars. The dealer told him to show up at 5PM and he could get the cars. Instead of two of the finest autos available waiting for him there were a bunch of cops waiting with some hand cuffs.
