Thanks to a tip from Vinny it looks like I finally have my answer about the status of Hot Import Nights. For months I have been checking the site to see what is going on and things did not look good. They had broken links galore and still had not announced a new tour.
Well today they posted that they have joined forces with the NOPI who is famous for their annual supershow to put on the HIN Nopi Supershow.
According to the site this will be a tour and the events will take place over two days. Each tour stop will feature drag racing, car shows, models, music and gymkhana (head to head drifting)” to create “the biggest auto lifestyle event tour EVER!”
It looks like they have also named a miss HIN to be on the tour also.
It looks like July 1st-3rd at New England Dragway in New Hampshire is the first stop on the tour with more info to come soon.
I wonder if Orlando will get a stop with us having Orlando Speedworld here, I for one sure hope we do.
On a side note is gymkhana really (head to head drifting)?
