According to USA Today the police are not too happy about all the Apps and Gadgets out there that are specifically designed to help you avoid tickets. Apps like Trapster and FuzzAlert along with Cobra’s iradar will help you avoid everything from red light cameras to DUI checkpoints.
The police say that the only reason someone would use these is to break the law. Capt. Paul Starks of the Montgomery County (Md.) Police Department said “If people are going to use those, what other purpose are they going to use them for except to drink and drive?”.
So, are you using apps to break the law?

ChrisTechnically… Yes but it’s not something I do constantly. The main reason I do is simply for those days I’m running late. As far as the drinking and driving… I learned my lesson without the police being involved. Narrowly escaping death as I flip my car wasn’t exactly something I enjoyed learning the hard way but it did keep me out of jail and alive to my amazement. No one but me and the car I was in was hurt in the accident. Not even state property i.e. guard rails, street signs, etc, etc. I will say though, when I see individuals going WELL over the speed limit while passing people on THE SHOULDER… That… Is just outright ridiculous!
