Is Chris Rado is starting the next big fad to hit the streets, God I hope not. He just set a new lap record at Willow Springs with his “Fwinged” Scion TC.
Not caring that EVERYONE at the track was laughing at him Rado strapped a huge airplane wing to his TC to put downforce right were its needed on a FWD car. It’s unofficial at this point, but airplane wing registered a 1:22.623 lap at Willow Springs raceway which is four seconds slower than a track-built Acura NSX running the same day. They are still trying to verify, but it looks like this is a new record for FWD cars.
Congrats to Rado, and PLEASE DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!
