Ford Focus RS to hit US soil?

Iv’e never understood american car makers. They can’t move any cars and wonder why. Maybee its because all the cool cars you make, you won’t sell in the US. Maybee with the recent problems they are finaly coming to thier senses.

Providing the go is a 2.5 liter Duratec inline-5 topped fitted with a turbocharger. It is supposed to make 295 horsepower and 302 ft/lbs of torque at the front wheels. With a great suspension, and agressive styling this car should do well.

The Focus RS is currently testing around the Nürburgring. For the first round, the detuned 250 hp Focus RS test car managed 8:27 on “standard Continental tires,” so Ford is reportedly looking at the full-fat 297 hp car to do around 8:15. Word is if they can get that close, they’ll consider adding the Toyo Cup tires to the customer options list, which could subtract at least three seconds from the Focus’ time and allow it to take home the ‘Ring trophy for hot hatches.
