Exotics, Tuners and Muscle cars oh my!

Every year the rich and some famous descend upon Orlando at the annual Festival of speed held at the Ritz Carlton. We went to go and Check out a couple of hundred million dollars of luxury autos. Some of the highlights of the show were the Veyron Convertible, an awesome cutaway of the DB9 along with the first live Panamera I have seen.

It was a blistering hot day and I was missing the cold spell we had a the prior week. I have a couple of tips if you plan to attend the event next year. First don’t drive a nice car, they make you park in a dirt lot. I think you would be hard pressed getting a lowered car in there and the car comes out covered in dust. Parking is $10 and when you add that to the $12 a head for admission that makes it a pretty pricey event to attend.

What you get for your money is the chance to get up close and personal with cars that you normally would not be able to get within ten feet of. There was a good mix of cars at the event, I saw everything from a GTR with “Gojira” as the tag to a Veyron Convertible.

Even the front of the hotel lobby had a bunch of eye candy. As I was leaving to go get the car I noticed a HUGE set of rims on a Rolls convertible, so I decided to go check it out. As I approached all you could hear was “that’s Dwight Howard’s”. At least 4 of the valet were telling everyone about it. It sure could have been his, the seat was so far back you would have to be a 7 footer just to reach the pedals.
