2010 is another light year as far as Florida events go. Like I said it seems like Florida has Kooties. We are looking for at least one show to bring the crew out in full force to. So far the contenders are the Remix Tour in Miami and Formula Drift in Atlanta.

Thanks to a tip from Vinny it looks like I finally have my answer about the status of Hot Import Nights. For months I have been checking the site to see what is going on and things did not look good. They had broken links galore and still had not announced a new tour.

Well today they posted that they have joined forces with the NOPI who is famous for their annual supershow to put on the HIN Nopi Supershow.

The boys over at Titan Motorsports have done very well for themselves by building and racing some very nice cars. Due to their success they have opened a big new facility here in Orlando and they are having a big party to celebrate. The party will include a dyno shootout, display cars and even a car show.

This one is for Ben, someone beat you to it. For years Ben has joked about doing crazy things to our cars to make them stand out and one of his “ideas” was to add a hibachi grill since we like to eat so much. He would say “It would be perfect, we roll up to the show and while everyone is busy cleaning we are grillin’ Kobe Style!”. Checking out the auction listing for the upcoming Mecum Auto Auction in Kissimmee has turned up some nice cars, some interesting cars and this AMAZING Cuda restomod. A restomod is where someone takes an old car and updates it with modern touches like power steering, electronics and air conditioning. This Cuda is an amazing example of a restomod done right.

Although their 2010 car is still firmly under wraps, Mercedes GP have unveiled the new silver and green colour scheme with which they will contest the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. The team’s management and drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg all attended the event, which was held at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in the German city of Stuttgart on Monday.

Screw die cast toys, real Transformer fans own the actual cars. I already let you know about one sweet Datsun that will be up for Auction at the Mecum Auto Auction next weekend in Kissimmee, well it looks like Barricade from the Transformers movie will also hit the block. The listing says its from the movie, but you never know it may be a replica.

I was on the fence about possibly heading to to Kissimmee for the Mecum Auto Auction but now I think I may have to go. If you are a reader of the blog you probably know that I am not only a fan of Imports but I also like muscle cars, old and new. I love to watch the auctions in HD and always wanted to see one up close.

Tuner Galleria is a new car show series coming to Atlanta at the end of the month.  Tuner Galleria is a special section within the World of Wheels event in Atlanta.  The event is from January 29-31 giving car show competitors the experience of a full production indoor car show.

As the Tokyo motor show is fully under way the goodies are starting to roll in. Check out this report of the newly designed Nissan Fuga or 370GT. This one is kind of near and dear to my heart. I must say that I am fond of my Y34 model Gloria vs the current Y50 Fuga. There is just something classic about the squared off lines of the Y34. It’s tough for me to say how I feel about this body style yet.

Not sure if you heard that Toyota has a small problem with their floor mats. They seem to get stuck under the accelerator pedal and cause it to jam. Well they have just released the “Dealer Approved” method of fixing them. If you ask me this is something we would come up with in the garage late at night when trying to make a show.
