It seems like Florida must have caught some kind of anti-carshow virus. I have been looking around trying to get a heads up on the upcoming 2010 show season and I am noticing an annoying trend, no sunshine state.
The 2010 dub tour has 12 shows this year with not one in Florida. They are going to Houston, Memphis and hell they are even going to Detroit. I mean Detroit is in such bad shape right now you can probably buy a house for less than the cost of a ticket to to the show.
Half the city is either deserted or on the way out and they think that that is going to be better for a show than Orlando, Tampa or Miami?
Forget about Hot Import Nights, it looks like they are on the way out to me. Their site doesn’t seem to be working right now and I haven’t seen a show schedule for 2010 yet either. At the end of last year they were cancelling shows and things did not look good. Not to mention they have been sold about 50 times since its heyday and who the heck knows who is in charge now.
Hopefully D1 will return to Miami this year but as of right now they haven’t announced the schedule yet. We should also have Battle of the Imports at the Orlando Speedworld but thats about it.
Lets hope as the economy picks up the shows will come back, I miss the good old days.
