I don’t know why they keep releasing previews and trailers for Gran Turismo 5, we all know it is never going to come out. I think sony realized that there is no way it can live up to the hype so they figure they will just release a new amazing trailer every few months and never release the game. It sat under boxes collecting dust for over 2 years, missing a front bumper and in rough shape. Vinny acquired it fro Sean and is in the process of resurrecting it. Hot on the heels of the Tron trailer Robert Downey Jr. premiered a new trailer for Iron Man 2 on Jimmy Kimmel after the Oscars. In this full trailer we get a look at Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer and Scarlet Johansen as the Black Widow. We also see that there will be an army of suited baddies for Iron Man and War Hammer to deal with in addition to Whiplash. Check the video and some stills after the jump.

If you watched the Oscars live then you probably saw the first official trailer for the upcoming Tron Legacy movie starring Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges. I have already said that I am super excited to see this movie. In the trailer they showed during the Oscars we see that Flynn has a son and his dad has been missing for years. The trailer is pretty cool showing us a glimpse inside Tron world but what you didn’t see is the second trailer.

The second trailer features an amazing light cycle battle that is going to rock in 3D. The videos are after the jump.

We decided to stop by and see what the boys at Titan Motorsports have been up to, and they have been busy. Titan started off as a small shop that really only specialized in Supras and has grown into a huge operation with a full race team and enough stock to modify half the cars in Orlando.

On this sunny Saturday I packed up the gear in Project VIP and set out to Titan’s new headquarters in the shadow of the Orlando Airport. The only other Jade ride to make it out was Vinny and his widebody STI. It was nice that Russ and Chad were in town to celebrate their mothers birthday. It was fun chilling with the boys again, felt like old times.

Toyota, trying to find a way to crawl back from this embarrassing recall fiasco, has release this press release along with a “family photo shoot” of the FT-86. They are really trying to to make that link with what people like us would consider their great cars of the past.

My boy Vinny has stated that he hates hybrids but I wonder what he thinks about this one. Meet the Porsche 918 Spyder a hybrid like no other. Most hybrids are gas sipping little pansy green machines, more worried about saving the planet than putting a smile on your face. The are more pictures and video after the jump.

I still don’t understand why every automaker seems to refuse to give us the fun cars. We don’t get the Focus RS or the FQ400 and it looks like we may not get the fire breathing Audi RS5.

Check out this new Iphone Game called Drift Sumi-e. It combines drifting and and the art of Sumi-e or Japanese brush painting. The game is pretty straight forward. There are tracks and on it they show you the proper clipping points for drifting. You try to drag your finger across the track tracing a proper drifting line. You are judged on speed and line. After that you get a score.

If you are a car guy you have either heard it or said it depending on the car you drive. “Yeah your car is faster than mine, until you have to turn.” It was always an annoyance for those of us who set their cars up for more track or auto X than drag.

Unfortunately the 1/4 mile track is really the only affordable method for “testing” two cars side by side. Its affordable if you have a track near by, its still $10 to run any car at Orlando Speedworld and there is something about the rush of seeing the other car and trying to beat it.

Check out this a french video clip of some new footage from the upcoming Iron Man 2 Movie. As you all know the first one had lots of automotive fun in it and the sequel looks like it won’t disappoint.

Apparently in Tony Starks “off time” he also owns and is the driver for his own F1 Team. In the trailer this is where Whiplash attacks him in dramatic fashion.

The boys over at Titan Motorsports have done very well for themselves by building and racing some very nice cars. Due to their success they have opened a big new facility here in Orlando and they are having a big party to celebrate. The party will include a dyno shootout, display cars and even a car show.

This one is for Ben, someone beat you to it. For years Ben has joked about doing crazy things to our cars to make them stand out and one of his “ideas” was to add a hibachi grill since we like to eat so much. He would say “It would be perfect, we roll up to the show and while everyone is busy cleaning we are grillin’ Kobe Style!”. Formula Ford is basically the entry level of Formula 1 racing and is meant as an inexpensive method for people to get into open wheel racing. There are a few engines that are legal for the series, the most common is the 1600 cc, DOHC 16v Duratec engine. The interesting news is that the Sports Car Club of America approved Honda’s 1.5 liter Fit engine for use in Formula Ford, or Formula F, in 2010.
