Tuner Galleria is a new car show series coming to Atlanta at the end of the month.  Tuner Galleria is a special section within the World of Wheels event in Atlanta.  The event is from January 29-31 giving car show competitors the experience of a full production indoor car show.

So what does the older generation of Atlanta car enthusiasts do on an early Sunday morning? Simple, they go out and grab some coffee… but in style! The ‘gathering’ as they would call it originated as a Model T car meet. It has since grown into much more.

The first week of every month in Atlanta is always something special. In Downtown Atlanta at the World famous Varsity, cars from the area gather every first Thursday of the month. It is a good mix of people and cars, however the majority of the group are young kids out of high school and college that want to show off their rides.

Z1 Motorsports in Eastern Georgia put together an event that was dedicated to the Nissan Z/G cars. The weekend consisted of a track day, car show, and a drag race that were all held on seperate days. The event drew several cars from around the nation, as noted by the numbers of different license plates in attendance.

A weekend in September, Red Bull closed off a few streets in Atlanta to hold a soap box derby. Now you would assume, that anything sponsored by Red Bull would involve some sort of craziness, and indeed there was plenty of it.

Chad’s Nissan 370Z gets it’s shoes on, 19×9.5″ +19 Volk Racing SF-Winning RMC all the way around! Wrapping the rims are TOYO T1R 255/40 and 285/35 tires. A set of Project Kics 10mm spacers and Project Kics Racing Composite R40 lugs add to the package to help the Nissan 370Z sit with a new aggressive stance. Thanks going out to Forged Performance who helped with the install, and to Mackin Industries! I think it’s blingtastic!

Brian's Infiniti G37S at Nisei Showoff 2009

Jade Motorsports headed out to the West Coast to the city of Angels, Los Angeles, California. The very last Import Showoff Nisei event took place on August 15, 2009 in Little Tokyo. Several JDM influenced Hondas and Nissans filled a parking lot, but yet the surrounding chain link fences did not deter spectators from attending. It almost felt like being in Japan because of the coinciding Nisei Festival week which showcased the Japanese culture, foods, and arts. None-the-less, it was definitely the cars which shined during this hot day in LA.

Nissan 370Z Lowered with Espelir Springs

So Chad’s new project car has started.  We contacted Mackin Industries and they sent over a set of Espelir springs, and with no hesitation we headed over to Forged Motorsports for the install.  The car now sits about an inch lower up front, and half an inch in the rear. Very subtle, but definitely noticeable. The car has to settle a little bit more before getting the car aligned, so unfortunately the 19″ Volks will have to wait a little bit more to be installed as well.  Already, the car handles better than stock.  Thanks to Brian at Mackin (bduong@mackinindustries.com) and Sharif & Ryan at Forged for their help with our 2009 Nissan 370z.

Jade Z34 & Jade EK

Going back to a grassroots approach to a car show, Import Alliance held a meet at Nashville Superspeedway on July 25-26, 2009.  Jon brought out his EK while Russ and Chad brought out the new project Z34.  The event drew over 2000 cars from all over the nation to one area, and to top things off there was a Redline Time Attack event.  Expect to see more of the Jade Crew to come out next year!
