Are American Cars Getting Cool Again?

Is it just me or are the new Muscle Cars making American Cars cool again? I like the new mustang design when it first came out with its retro modern look. Then the Challenger followed and I was again impressed. Now the new Camaro has me thinking “could I see myself driving one of those”?

I mean I am really liking the lines of the new Camaro. I have always been a fan of the 60′s and 70′s era muscle cars, I think it runs in my blood. It seems my father was a bit of a gear head in his youth. He has owned some pretty nice cars that I wish he would have kept. He had a 67 Mustang in hugger orange, a 55 Chevy that he dropped a small block V8 in and even owned a Plymouth Road Runner….meep meep.

I have always wanted to build a muscle car “tuner style”. I can totally see a blacked out Camaro with tons of carbon fiber, a turbo kit and some matte black deep dish rims. With a V8 one starting at 28k now I think I should be able to pick up a used one in 2 or 3 years for 19 or less.

What do you think? Are they “in” again?
