Available body kits for the y34 cedric/gloria/US M45

As I move through the process of building up my M45 I have realized that there is nothing that is really made for the US spec M45, if you want anything you need to get it from the land of the rising sun.

The 2003/2004 Infiniti M45 was the short lived us version of the y34 Nissan Cedric/Gloria. The JDM car differs slightly from the US car. The front grill and headlights are shaped slightly differently along with the grill area of the bumper. In the US car there is a protrusion, often called the “beak”. This was done to accommodate the 5 mile bumper required for the US. The y34 bumpers also look different in the fog light area and do not have the lights in the side that the US model does.

The y34 chassis ran from 1998 to 2004. In june of 1999 the “late model” Gloria was released. It has the same grill and headlights as the US car, except the logo is Nissan not Infiniti on the grill. The late model Gloria also has a set of LED tail lights that differs from all of the other models, including the US car.

There were only about 9,000 M45′s built between 03/04 made until they redesigned it into the “bubbly” version that is being replaced this year. The distinctively square look and JDM feel of the Y34 did not really sell well in the us.

For this reason there are two variations of body kits out there for the car. The body kits that are made for the early Y34 model Gloria and the Y34 Cedrics require you to swap the headlights and grill or to modify the bumper to fit the US grill. If you get a body kit for the late model Y34 Gloria there are no modifications needed.

Enough history on the car and back to the topic at hand, aero or body kits. I have tried my best to put up each y34 body kit that I know of for the car here. If you know of any more put them in the comments. Also let me know what your favorite is.
